Where there is beauty, keep your camera beside you

Hi guys!

I am going to share with you my photography day out with wife and friends.  Its early in the morning journey from Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, near the F1 Sepang Circuit, Malaysia, for those never been to Malaysia to get to a place called Bukit Broga or in English, Broga Hill, Semenyih.
It was a great morning and nice jungle tracking going up the hill. Its very challenging for those who keep their body ages away from such activity. Anyway, if you have passion and guts you will never look at the hardest part of this adventure. I even saw an old man age maybe around 50 to 60 walking up steadily compared to me urgh... hahaha

Its very hard to climb sometimes in certain area or maybe because of we are not fit enough (really its tough for beginner) or because the track was simply challenging for those who love adventure. Its takes us more than 5 stop to catch up our breath... hehehe thats honest...

The first object that catch my eyes was this lizard. Shoot and shoot then I manage to get this picture. nice and easy. This creature was like a model that morning. Won't moving, sitting tight and posing. Nice!
It like knowing we just wanna take picture... hahaha... Smile... click!

Most of all views is the below pictures. I start falling in love with this place. From one area to another, its makes a perfect place for photography. I used my 50mm lense to capture all this image. No words to describe - BEAUTIFUL!

When you are at a place where not all people willing to go, you will start want to have a nice picture of you showing you was there rite? Ha... then begin my portrait picture. Model, Me of course and I am proudly selecting my wife as another model.

Excitement never stop at this level only. I start to climb up further to the top of the hill which is at 400M above sea level. Start to pose again so that I know I am here at the Broga Hill plus you too! hahaha

This is where your long range lense is so important. If i bring along my camera, of course its hard to make the evidence of my present. So, leave the camera with my friend, ask them to shoot while I am far away above them... 200m to be precised.

Thats the short story about my journey to Broga Hill. Its a place for relaxing, excercise, and to have a photo... nice and easy. Below some video 42uc.

What about light?

Hi guys!
Back with new picture. I am having my Teh Tarik at a Malay stall one nite watching a big screen projector wondering what to snap… Its 12.10am… hm… what can interest me to do? Moon? Ah… my lense is too short for that. Then I saw the streets light just behind the screen. Ah… why not

Ah… Its working! Maybe I could make it better… while riding my bike home… keep thinking what went wrong? Maybe amount of light need to be increased. Well I don’t know. I think I want to try again. Oh yess… I got the flare… hehehehe… snapping and snapping… and walla!! Keep loving the outcome. Keep sitting in the middle of the road at 1.30am…. snapping like a pro but well I am not… hehehe..

Allowing yourself to explore things make your photography life much more interesting. Learning and apply the knowledge make things different. I used Speed 2 second and f/11 ISO at 1600 then the below picture taken by me of course certainly complete my mission that nite. Happy.

1 Thing I learn is the importance of having your tripod to shoot at nite. Hm… learn to carry it anywhere you go… Happy photography!!

Insect

Hai guys!

Today we are going to talk about insect. I have problem in capturing insect picture due to my lenses that I have which is not micro lenses. Anyhow, with a very little knowledge, I have tried to capture some insect that actually has its own beauty. Its shape, its color, and each has its own uniqueness. Its take efforts and time for a photographer to capture an amazing picture of these creatures.

I am not an expert but through my experience, these insects picture snapping requires passion as they will not sit tight. Unless they tired I think? Fortunately, I was a little bit lucky in Putrajaya when I found a fly that look like having drinks at these flowers. I think I manage to get few inch closer to snap this picture. It was set a center weight metering and shutter speed only at 100. Maybe I forgot to reduce the lighting effect on my camera that cause the picture is little bit annoying.

Remember this picture not too long time ago? Hah… to be honest, after I read the new issue of a photography magazine, then I know how important to play with shutter speed when we dealing with animal or insect which run too fast. What about ISO? Well understand how important your light support is because when you failed to set the camera at a setting that can make your picture looks beautiful, you will lose. Furthermore, the moment that you have between you and the insect may not last long because it will fly away. See? Damn its hard to get some picture..

While busy searching for a spot at a bird sanctuary in Rawang, well not exactly maintained sanctuary, where birds look happy flying around that place, I saw this insect and with my long range lenses, 200mm, I try to snap few picture. Still not so happy with the result, but then its fly away… huh…

Anyhow, having an insect as a motive however is still fun. As fun as playing with smokes. Learn to be patient and learn to be more alert on the object is the best point of all. So, hope you guys got luck on having some picture with these insect… go and play with your camera… Have a nice day!
